SMU is well-positioned and has the potential to be a world-class institution relevant to businesses locally and around Asia. Since our inception in January 2000, SMU has continuously impressed with its wide range of innovative programmes in the tertiary education realm.

There is a growing demand for indigenous competencies in research and teaching on marketing excellence, and SMU is the ideal candidate to provide the leadership. Within SMU, there is a core group of marketing experts who can be readily tapped. These faculty members bring with them a wealth of experience and knowledge. At the same time, the strengths of SMU also lie in the possible collaborative efforts with partner universities, as well as the recruitment of additional faculty experts from around the world.
