John has twenty-five years of marketing, management and business development experience on the client and agency side. Most recently he was CMO of McCann China and held a concurrent role as Managing Director of Momentum China (shopper/activation agency). Prior to that he was Asia Pacific Managing Director at Saatchi X based in Guangzhou where he transformed the agency by effectively implementing behavioral insight methodologies and path to purchase models for clients such as P&G, Coca Cola, Nestle and LG.
John is a successful entrepreneur having founded three agencies and selling one. He held client management positions at AT&T, Gartner and Visa International where he was responsible for all marketing in South East Asia & India. Prior to Visa, John was Managing Director for DDB China.
John has proven expertise in managing regional operations, identifying key market opportunities and cultivating strategic business partnerships. His career covers a diverse range of marketing disciplines which include; Digital, Brand Advertising Shopper Marketing, Public Relations, Activation, Experiential, Retail Design, Multicultural and Media.
