Shweta Shukla is Director & Head - Communications, CSR & Government Affairs for Kimberly-Clark Asia Pacific. Kimberly-Clark Corp. (NYSE: KMB) is an $18.6Bn Fortune 200 Company headquartered in Dallas, US. With a 144 year heritage, its brands like Huggies, Kleenex, Scott, Kotex and Depend are household names and provide the essentials for a better life in more than 175 countries.

Shweta has over 16 years of experience in Brand & Corporate Communications, Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability, Government Affairs, Employee Communications, Issues & Crises Management. Shweta began her career with an internship with Unilever India and went on to lead External Relations for Procter & Gamble (P&G) India and Asia across its portfolio of Health Care; Fabric & Home Care; Beauty & Grooming; Baby & Feminine Care before joining Kimberly-Clark.

Shweta leads all external & internal communication for Kimberly-Clark Asia Pacific including employer branding, media relations, executive communications and issues & crises management. She manages partnerships with key stakeholders like the EDB (Economic Development Board), WWF (World Wildlife Fund) and the US Embassy among others. She represents Kimberly-Clark on industry chambers, speaking platforms, media and universities.

Shweta has been responsible for developing several Social Impact programs such as Kimberly-Clark’s Toilets Change Lives – a sanitation campaign focused on children, P&G’s Shiksha (education) a Cause Related Marketing program now in its 12th year and Parivartan (Transformation) a partnership with the Ministry of Health to improve hygiene for rural women. She has authored papers like “Keeping Girls in School” published by the University of Pennsylvania and “Impact of Policy on FMCG” published by FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry)

Shweta has elicited several prestigious awards like the Cannes PR Lions, US Embassy & AMCHAM Awards, and Public Affairs Gold Standard Awards for Brand PR campaigns, Public-Private partnerships & Corporate Citizenship for both P&G and Kimberly Clark. Besides being a jury member of Asia Holmes Report and PR Week Asia Awards, she has been named among PR Week’s global list of Top 500 Communications Heads (2015 and 2016)

Shweta is based in Singapore with her husband and two sons.
